As a Professional
I am a licensed as a Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana and hold a certification as a Counselor Supervisor, allowing me to support and foster the development of new therapists in Louisiana. I received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Marriage and Family Therapy and have over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings. Since 2012, I have committed my resources to the growth and development of an outpatient behavioral health clinic, Therapeutic Partners, LLC, serving the needs of Northshore residents unable to afford traditional therapy services. My time is shared between two offices, Therapeutic Partners, LLC and The Healing House, both in Covington, LA.

In the Therapy Room
In my office, I hope you find a comfortable and relaxing place to exhale, settle in , and unload. I could entice you with all technical terms and fancy therapeutic words to describe my "therapeutic approach" but I have found that what people want to know is: 1."Does she get me?", 2."Can I really say ANYTHING without judgment?", 3."Will I get honest feedback?", 4. "Is this really going to help?".
My responses are:
1. I will do my best to 'get you' and I will never pretend to 'get you' when I really don't, I will ask more questions and listen closely as you tell your story, in an effort to better understand you.
2. YES, you can really say ANYTHING without judgment!
3. I will give you honest but kind feedback, and will never tell you what you should or should not do. This is your life and whether you know it or not, YOU are the expert on how to live it.
4. Yes, therapy HELPS, however, it does not do the work for you. The work is your gift to yourself.
